Our biggest news of 2021 was, of course, our announcement that we had created the world’s first consumer goods product made with cultured meat!
While our cultured meat progress had everyone talking, our plant-based products found their own success. We added to our line of nutritional yeast dog cookies, Noochies!, with immunity-boosting Pumpkin Noochies!
Significantly, we were buoyed by the growth and successes of other cultured meat companies around the world. Traditional animal agriculture is an unsustainable industry and these companies are unlocking the potential of animal cells to grow food as varied as sea bass, foie gras, chocolate, eggs, milk, duck, chicken, beef and cheese.

One of the most exciting cultured meat companies making food for humans is Upside Foods. They are the first in the field to produce multiple species of cultured meat: beef, chicken and duck. And, one of their biggest supporters and investors is British business magnate, Richard Branson. Last month, he participated in a tasting of Upside Foods cultured chicken and we encourage you to watch the inspiring video of this positive technology becoming a reality!
We are all working towards a similar mission: To reduce the problems associated with modern meat production: vast environmental destruction and farmed animal abuse to name just two, and replace it with more sustainable, harmless means for producing meat.
